What is the Blog Creation 2.0 Workshop?

It is an online workshop that will take you step-by-step through the process of creating your own blog or website without a webmaster.

You will learn the most popular blog-building software called WordPress®. With your knowledge of WordPress®, you will be able to create simple websites or blogs and then update them on your schedule.

What is the Blog Creation Workshop Schedule?

MONDAYS – We meet once a week on Mondays and Fridays via webinar (by phone and on computer). Content is provided on Mondays. Fridays are Q&A sessions.

Call-in and log-in information will be provided after registration.

TUESDAYS – On Tuesdays at 1 pm PST, you are invited to participate in Blog Talk Radio trainings and interviews with Internet marketing experts, like Connie Regan Green (October 13).

WEDNESDAYS – On Wednesday afternoons (12 pm noon PST), you are invited to participate in Wizard Wednesdays with the WordPress Wizard, herself, Cathy Perkins. You can ask questions prior to the show and receive the replays afterwards.

FRIDAYS – On Fridays, we meet in a laboratory setting where we go over the checklist of items introduced in Monday’s webinar. This is a Q&A session where you can ask ANY question about the week’s lesson or anything else you want.  New tips will be provided, too.

Will the teleseminars and webinars be recorded?

Yes, video replays will be available usually within 72 hours of the actual event, pending no technical difficulties. Clients will be notified by email when the replays are available, as well as additional updates from the event.

Can I invite a spouse, friend or colleague to take the workshop with me?

Yes. One of the unique features of this program is that you can invite 1 “accountability partner” to join you. If you like, you can even split the cost of tuition between yourself and your accountability partner. Since you took responsibility for the initial registration costs, you must collect any money from your accountability partner directly.

If, for some reason, you choose to withdraw from the program before the withdrawal window (half-way through the course or the last day of the second module), your money will be refunded. However your “accountability partner” must leave with you.

What is the Accountability Partner?

I realize that most of us perform better when we have someone to whom we are accountable for our actions. For example, say I have the intention to search for and subscribe to 2 new blogs in my niche market by Friday. When I say this out loud to my accountability partner, I am responsible for reporting back how I did.

Also, Accountability Partners may provide another set of eyes and be a great resource with whom you can brainstorm and by whom you can run ideas.

How often should my Accountability Partner and I meet?

There is no required number of times the two of you should meet. We suggest that you meet at least once before the workshop begins.

Research shows that 1-2 times per week is ideal “during” class. Then, you can continue with 1 time per week or every other week “after” class.

What do my Accountability Partner and I talk about?

Whatever your want. Personally, I like to stay focused and make sure I provide 1) an update on what I’ve done since last we spoke, 2) plans for the next period of time until we speak again, and 3) any stuck or problem areas I need help with.

Will we have a discussion board?

We use Twitter and Tweet Chat as the discussion board during the sessions and after. Info will be provided to you on 1st webinar.
